General Terms of Use

The objective of these terms of use is to establish the terms of use for Camping Cheque sites, hereafter referred to as "the Services", and set out the conditions that User's must adhere to when using these services.

Access and/or use of Camping Cheque sites constitute acceptance of, and adherence to, these terms of use and create a binding legal agreement. As such, they constitute a contract between the Services and the User.

If any, or some, of the general terms of use presented here are unacceptable to the user, they should discontinue using the Services.

• User: The User is any person who uses the site or any of the services on the site.
• User content: The term "User Content" refers to the data transmitted by the User to different areas of the site.
• Member: The term "Member" refers to an identified user on the site.
• User ID: The term "User ID" covers all of the information the User requires to identify themselves on the site and to access members-only areas of the site.
• Password: The "Password" is confidential information that must be kept secret by the User, and which allows the User to prove their identity in conjunction with their User ID.

The Services are accessible free of charge to all Users with internet access. Any costs related to access to Services, whether they are material, software, or internet access costs are entirely at the User's expense. The User is solely responsible for ensuring that they have operational computer equipment and internet access.

Some areas of the site are reserved for Members that have logged in using their User ID and Password.

Camping Cheque reserves the right to refuse access to the Services, unilaterally and without prior notice, to any User who does not comply with the present terms of use.

Camping Cheque will make every reasonable effort to ensure that access to the Services is available at all times, but does not guarantee access to the Services.

In addition, Camping Cheque cannot be held responsible for any malfunctioning of the network or the servers or any other event outside their control, which interrupts or reduces the quality of access to the Services.

Camping Cheque reserves the right to interrupt, temporarily suspend or modify access to all or part of the Services in order to carry out maintenance, or for any other reason, without notice or liability.

All of the Camping Site content is protected by copyright. You may download content from the site uniquely for personal and non-commercial use. Any later modification or reproduction of downloaded content is forbidden. With the exception of the aforementioned cases, it is forbidden to copy or use content in any manner whatsoever.

"Camping Cheque" is a registered trademark of Camping Cheque. Any unauthorised reproduction of the brand, logos, or service marks is an infringement on intellectual property rights and you may be subject to criminal sanctions. The offender may be subject to civil and criminal penalties, in particular the penalties set out in articles L 335.2 and 343.1 of the French intellectual property code.

The User is solely responsible for User Content that they put on line via the Services, as well as any texts or opinions therein contained. In particular, they agree that their User Content will not infringe upon the legitimate interests of a third party of any kind. On this subject, they guarantee that Camping Cheque is released from any and all claims, directly or indirectly linked to User Content and/or data which is likely to result in legal action being taken against Camping Cheque. In particular, they agree to pay costs, of any kind, resulting from legal action being taken against Camping Cheque, including legal fees and judicial costs.

Camping Cheque reserves the right to delete any or all User Content at any time and for any reason whatsoever, without notice or preliminary justification. The User can make no claims for indemnity on this matter.

In order to protect the privacy of its Users, Camping Cheque agrees that personal information that is gathered and processed on the present site, will be carried out in compliance with French law, Act No 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Processing, Files and Individual Liberties. For this matter, Camping Cheque sites declare all of the information they hold to the CNIL (authority protecting privacy and personal data in France).

In compliance with article 34 of Act No 78-17 of 6 January 1978 Camping Cheque guarantees that the User has the right to access, correct and challenge personal data concerning them.

The User may exercise this right:

• on the site in the members-only area;
• using the contact form available on the site;
• by contacting Camping Cheque directly by mail or telephone (see Contact page)

Access to certain areas of the Camping Cheque site requires the User to use a User ID and a Password. The Password chosen by the User is private and confidential. The User agrees to keep this Password secret and not to divulge their password information in any form whatsoever. Use of the User ID and Password on the internet is at the User's own risk. It is the User's responsibility to take all necessary care in order to protect their data from security breaches.

Nevertheless, Camping Cheque agrees to take all the necessary measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of User Content. The User will be informed that one or several cookies, containing no personal information whatsoever, will be saved to their hard drive for identification purposes.

The User accepts that internet services are subject to limitations and constraints and acknowledges that it is impossible to guarantee total data security. Camping Cheque cannot be held responsible for any injury caused by the transfer of information, including User IDs and Passwords, by the Service.

Under no circumstance can Camping Cheque be held responsible for any damage and/or injury, direct or indirect, material or immaterial, or of any nature whatsoever, resulting from the Services being unavailable or through the use of the Services. The term "Use" must be understood in the broadest sense, in other words any use of the site in any way, lawful or unlawful.

The User agrees to respect, in a general manner, all of the current regulations in their country of residence.

Campsites information and images in the guide are transmitted to us by the camping ground manager. Despite all of our best efforts when gathering information and editing the guide, errors and omissions occur which Camping Cheque shall not be held responsible for.

Camping Cheque sites contain hypertext links to other sites that are edited and/or managed by a third party.

As these sites operate outside of Camping Cheque's control, the User acknowledges that Kawan Group cannot be held responsible for the availability of these resources or for their content.

Camping Cheque cannot be held responsible in the case of force majeure or other unintentional situations.

Camping Cheque reserves the right to modify the terms, conditions and statements in the present terms of use contract at any time. For this reason, we advise the User to read the latest terms and conditions available on the Camping Cheque sites regularly.
